Naran Valley Heaven On The Earth | Amazing Place

Naran Valley

About Naran Valley

In Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtun khwa province, in the upper kaghan valley, is the medium-sized town of Naran Valley. It is one of Pakistan’s most picturesque regions, and it is located 2500 metres above sea level. It is a popular resort for tourists and hikers because of how many people are drawn to it by its beauty. Naran experiences extreme cold. Even in the months of June and July, there are glaciers and mountains covered in snow, and the ice on the mountain peaks never melts.

Kunhar River

The River Kunhar, which originates in the glaciers of Kaghan and flows all the way down to Mansehra, flows beside the route to Naran Valley. Although Urdu is the common language there, Hindko and Gojri are the native tongues of the Naran Valley. The clothing is a shalwar kameez with long shalwars on the bottom. The majority of people are tall. The average male height was between 5″8″ and 5″9″.

The majority of the people who live in Naran Valley are Gujars, and I found them to be quite kind and generous. They extend a very kind welcome to the visitors and treat them like close friends. Tourists are their main source of income, and they work as tour guides, resthouse managers, store owners, restaurant staff, jeep drivers, some also cultivate crops, and some are shepherds.

However, they only manage to amass their entire fortune during the summer because the area is completely covered in snow during the winter, forcing them to relocate to mansehra or another hotter location. The prices there are slightly higher as a result. For instance, the cost of a 100-rupee cell card is approximately 107 there. However, I believe it is reasonable given that this source of income is only available temporarily.

Women typically stay at home as housewives. I only discovered one public elementary school where some of the neighbourhood kids attended classes. Additionally, there was no educational system in place. Along with their fathers, uncles, and other relatives, most youngsters worked as tour guides and business owners.

Dry fruits

Dry fruits and handicrafts are the primary exports of the Naran Valley. The skillfully carved walnuts are one of the handicrafts you should purchase, and the famed Namdas, woollen felt carpets, are another. Woolen shawls, embroidered shawls, and shirts are also available. There are cottage enterprises operating in these areas, so you might be able to locate some great deals. The businesses at the main market are displacing handmade goods.

Like Murree Mall Road, Naran also features a small bazaar. There, you can easily find the needs of life. The main bazar offers cellular networks, mobile shops, bakeries, general stores, tailors, and even barbers. There are more than 100 hotels there, ranging in price from very cheap motels to high-end luxury hotels. There are also tent hotels where visitors can rent family-sized tents for their stay.

In this town, the River Kunhar flows through. A few motels are located along the river’s edge. The sound of water running and crashing on the stones can be heard at night. That music makes me very happy. People like fishing in rivers during the day. Some others like to simply relax by a river and dip their feet into its refreshing waters. Due to the valley’s proximity to these high mountains, it will be dark in the Naran Valley in the afternoon.

Lake Saiful Muluk

Located 8 kilometres north of Naran is Saifulmalook. From Naran, it takes 1 hour to get to Saiful Malook. On the outskirts of the city, a number of 44 Jeeps can be seen. The tourists are transported by these jeeps from Naran Valley to Saiful Malook. Only those jeeps and the local drivers can take you up there since the route is really rough and there are glaciers all the way up. Those jeeps are rented by individuals who bring their family to Saiful Malook. Some individuals prefer to hike rather than use a jeep, especially young people who hike up to Saiful Malook. At Saiful Malook, there are additionally eateries and retail establishments. Riding horses is popular there.

A lake named Saiful Malook is located in the middle of mountains that are always covered with snow. Malika Parbat, which is situated to the left of the jheel, is one of the well-known mountains. The name Saifulmalook is taken from a folktale. It tells the tale of a Persian prince who met a fairy princess in a lake and fell in love with her. The beauty of the lake has such an influence that some actually think fairies visit the lake during full moons. The water is very clear and has a blue colour. It is impossible for someone to stand on it for longer than 30 seconds.

Ansu Lake Naran

Ansu is a high-altitude lake with a tear-shaped shape that is close to Malika Parbat. An 11-kilometer trail leading from Saif-ul-Malook can be used to get there. From early May through late December, the lake is still accessible, however the beginning and end of the season might be challenging due to bad weather.

A plateau called Lalazar was formerly renowned for its lovely wild flowers and tranquil pine trees. Malika Parbnat’s verdant meadows are a must-see even though recent potato and other crop cultivation has reduced its natural attractiveness. A one-hour muddy jeep trail departing from Battakundi will take you to Lalazar. Some people choose to hike rather than take a jeep. One well-known, easy hike that begins at Lake Saif ul Malook and passes through the scenic Hans Gali ends at Lalazar.

One thing that discourages me about that location is that our elders tell us that if we travel 20 or 30 years in the past, this location would have been lovely in its real natural state. There is a widespread belief that any location that humans have not yet explored is still in its natural state. People litter everywhere because they don’t care. At the edges of the market, there were piles of debris. Traffic-related dust has harmed the environment. Rappers and leftovers are thrown into the lake at Saif Ullah Look. Somebody must assume responsibility for these actions, and care must be taken of them.
